Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
I have been playing with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 since yesterday when it shipped and so far it’s been marvels.
Using it for over a day now has satisfied me that I made the right choice buying it instead of a different Android tablet or the iPad 2 altogether.
And by the looks of the market place there are plenty of App’s for Honeycomb out there. Plus it can also run App’s meant for the Android smart phones very well which opens a whole new world.
The tablet itself is incredibly light and well built. Its lighter then the Samsung book cover I bought for it.
Although I have been exploring the market place since yesterday for App’s I am pretty sure it’s going to take me from a few days to a week or two to settle in.
That’s all I have for now but if anyone has any recommendations for App’s feel free to share them.
Chrome for a Cause
Every tab you open this December 15 through 19 will serve a good cause.
Join the cause
Install the Chrome for a Cause extension to participate. Each tab you open will raise money for charity.
Contribute your tabs
At the end of each day, choose one of five charities to support.
There can’t be a more effortless way to help charities then installing this extension and opening a tab after tab. I’m doing it so should you as for every tab you open you can have Google donate to a cause of your choice.
Read more or install the extension at http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/p/cause/
If you can’t Google it then try IRC
For the most part of this week I have been working on setting up and configuring the new dedicated ubuntu server that the company I work for bought to host all of our own & client websites as our current dedicated Mac Mini server just isn’t fast enough.
And all though I’m far from being done configuring it, just yesterday I ran in to a problem for which finding a good answer using Google didn’t yield much fruit until I turned to the old reliable IRC channels.
So the next time if you can’t find a good answer or need advice on which option to pick from among the others don’t forget to use IRC it can end up saving you a lot of time and frustration.
